    Standoff Screw holes clogged

I'm installing an Asus Z10PE-D16 WS motherboard and the pre-installed standoff screws for a standard ATX board do not work for this large board. The threads if all of the five holes where I need to insert the standoff screws to accomodate the ASUS board are clogged with paint. Try as I might, I cannot get the standoff screws inserted. Suggestions. please?

You need a tap to clean out the threads. Not sure on the size but probably 6-32

    What Hooded said.
    6-32 is same as M3.5x .6

I have made 'cleaning taps' with a long screw by using a triangular jeweler's file to file a tap like end. Works well for cleaning paint out of threads.
