Mod for vertical GPU mounting on Entoo Primo SE case

    Hey all,

I've been looking at this bracket from Mountain Mods that will allow a GPU to be mounted vertically. It requires a mod to most any case. My problem is where it would go on the Enthoo Primo the case isn't solid metal, it is instead the honeycomb holes for air intake. I'm not sure if I could make it stable enough to hold my GPU.

Does anyone know of any Phanteks Enthoo Primo owners who have successfully modded the case to mount their GPU vertically? Any help would be awesome. Here is the bracket:

    Thanks!

I do not know of anyone who has done this, but I see no reason it would not be a fairly easy mod to do.

I've seen two mod pieces. One is a bracket that actually replaces the current PCI covers and sets it vertically there. Which is great but it literally covers all the PCI slots. This means that my current PCI cards that house my M.2 drives wouldn't fit as they would bump into the GPU.

So there is another bracket that screws into drilled holes onto the case just ahead of the PCI covers. This is the better solution for me but I'm a bit worried as on the Enthoo Primo case that part already has honeycombed vent holes. Since the card weighs quite a bit (MSI Seahawk EK X) I'm worried about being able secure it here where it will be stable. Below this is where Phantex also has another honeycombed area which is removable in case you want to stick a PSU in the front. I'm not sure if it could be placed securely there either. I'm a bit stuck as you see.

I've done exactly this already to my Evolv TG. I can show you exactly how I chopped up the back end of my computer to accomodate it, but give me a little bit.

Hey brighttail, I've seen the 2nd mount (the mountain mods one) but can you link me to where I can find the first mod?

I like the way themightyvoice's looks, but I would rotate it 180 so back of PCB is toward side of case and GPU cooler intake fans are into open area between it an motherboard.

This is what I was looking at. It is for a coolermaster case but it looks like it would fit in any case that has 7 or 8 pci-e slots.

    Here is another version:

Both are out of stock and only available in the UK store currently.

That would be great but I think the evolve case has a solid back in that area where you made the cuts. Mine is all honeycombed for air venting. I know i could put it in there, but i'm afraid for stability.
