View Full Version : How do you install PWM Hub + Corsair H100i GTX?

I've watched so many videos, read forum posts and googled. I thought I knew the answer but when it came to doing my own install it did not work.

i5 6600k
Asus Maximus VIII Hero Alpha
Corsair H100i GTX
CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 SDRAM 3000

I installed the following at first:

Radiator Fans to Waterblock Headers
CPU Fan to PWM Fan Hub
Phanteks Luxe CPU Fan Lead to CPU Fan Header (motherboard)
SATA power to PSU

Result: Radiator fans did not spin so had to turn off immediately

So I tried moving CPU Fan Lead to the Waterblock Header and the fans worked but only half my memory was recognized.

Now I'm simply running with Phanteks Luxe CPU Lead disconnected and the CPU Fan to CPU Fan Header as that seems to be the only way the fans spin and my memory is fully recognized. Documentation is sparse. Even some professional reviewers did not know how to get the Fan Hub to work.

I would like to try the Fan Hub out but at this point I need a checklist of what to plug into what as my radiator fans not spinning is no good. If I do get the Fan Hub working what Pros can I look forward to over my current setup? I do like how it keeps case fans off my motherboard for a cleaner look so that Pro I'm enjoying. Great case and I'm loving it. Only other snag was breaking 5.25 bay door when installing my blu-ray drive.
