View Full Version : Using the PWM hub to distribute 12v power?

On my particular Luxe build I have no need of the PWM hib to control my fan as I have an much fancier fan controller to do that job. I did think the hub might come in handy however to just distribute 12v of power to various other things.

So I plugged in the Sata power cable and a few of LEDs wired up to three pin connectors and nowt lights up.
After poking it a bit I suspect that it's not working because I have no PWM signal plugged in so the power is defaulting to "off" for some reason (which is odd, in the absence of a signal I'd have thought it would be more logical to default to "full" as a fail safe)

Is this the case?
Is there anyway of tricking it into thinking it has a PWM signal so it just runns everything at the full 12v?

Try plugging 1 fan into the number one port. That should give it an rpm signal then the rest of the ports should work at a full 12 volts.
