View Full Version : Are Motherboard Standoffs Removable or Permanently Attached?

I am looking to purchase a Phanteks case for a SuperMicro ATX motherboard. The motherboard Model is X8DTL-iF. Even though it is an ATX form factor, it does not have a mounting hole in the typical center position like other ATX boards.

I want to make sure that I don't get a case that has an alignment standoff that is not removable and that will not allow me to mount the motherboard.

The Phanteks case that I am specifically looking at is the Phanteks Enthoo Pro Series PH-ES614P_BK Black Steel.

According to Phanteks support, the offsets are removable.

I'll find out later today because an Enthoo Pro case is to be delivered.

I would like to know this. Replaced my old case with a Phanteks PH-ES515P_BK. My gtx 970 fit in the case just fine but all my pci cards (streaming card and sound card won't fit. they are tilted when all the way in on the motherboard and I can't screw them down. Can the standoffs be replaced?
