Seen a video of this case on Hardware Canuks
A little pricey at 699 but would like to see more detail to know if it's worth that Caselabs Price tag.

Just thought I'd respond to this as I was curious as well, I watched a few videos and came across one where the Phanteks rep said it's planned to be released between September and October, it's near the end of the video.

https://youtu.be/xZJNLgLWj8E

Can't wait to get this case, as a Canadian it's expensive as all hell due to our terrible dollar (699 usd is about 900 Canadian...) but I was going to get a Caselabs and it would have cost the exact same, but this has way more for that price.

I love this case but I don't love the price is it going to be a good as a case labs case for watercooling? This remains to be seen I guess we will have to wait till Phanteks gets it on the web site for pre-order to see all the specs.

I've emailed them a couple times, and I was assured it will be released before the end of 2016...as for when, I sure hope sooner rather than later.

I have new components and water cooling parts sitting around waiting until I can get my hands on this case!

In the CES videos from a few months ago they did mention September to October, but it seems they missed that time line, so hopefully end of October we will hear some more

The latest rumors are a sample production run of like 50 will be next week to make sure everything is as it should be. If these are all okay they will probably go to reviewers with retail production shortly after that. It would be dreaming to think they will be available by Black Friday (shipping is at least 10 days at sea), but it's not unbelievable to think they may be available before Xmas. At least we are seeing progress!

You are correct. Enthoo Elite release time was suppose to be 1PM GMT (UK time) today. I'm assuming OcUK was not supposed to be announce it as being available until after 1:00PM. FYI, OcUK is owned by Case King (German) and Case King is also taking orders showing a 10/03/2017 date. Normally in Europe a date of 10/03/2017 would mean 10 March 2017.
OcUK is known to start taking pre-orders sometimes months before the deliver any product, but not always. As soon as I know anything from Phanteks I will post it here.

I expect North America will be receiving product about the same time as Europe does.

I'm so severely disappointed in the lack of a silver option.

The first iteration and displayed model, the 916, was silver. If silver was available I'd preorder the case immediately. Between this and the price increase, I have reservations now.

I see that the case has no 5.25" bay area, but it does include a modular 5.25" drive bracket that is mounted inside the case. My question is then, how many drives can the modular 5.25" drive bracket support and how many of those brackets can be mounted in the case?

Looking at the mount it appears it supports 2 devices and screws in to the side panel like the HDD/SDD mounts do. I really wish there was an option to mount it in the front as it appears mounting it on the panel as shown will prevent a reservoir from being mounted and can potentially block a 480 rad on the top.

Depends on what you mean by modular. They said they'll have a replacement panel for USB type C 3.1 Gen 2 or whatever they call it, support. It will be a new header instead of the one used now, and you'll swap out the I/O panel.

Sorry, I meant modular by if you could swap out the entire I/O panel with the wires that connect all the USB, MIC, Headphone, reset buttons, and RGB wheel in a way that is similar to swapping out those front panel 5.25" or 3.5" USB hubs or card readers that are mounted at the external drive bay area of a classic PC tower case.

Yeah, I also hope that there is a way to mount it at the front because it will give easier access to mount other accessories into the 5.25" drive bay such as front panel USB hubs and card readers and use them if the option arises.

its so beautiful, my idea is to have a dual xeon in it with a mini itx pc. all liquid cooled with hard line and RGB LED in everything.

Just from looking at it, I can't imagine there being any clearance issues with push pull at the top.

If you want to know for sure, if you go to the Elite product page on Phanteks.com you can already download the manual and that should mention clearance.

I got one as well, it's a lot of money extra for me as well being Canadian, conversion rate came to about $1130... I have to go down to the States as well to pick it up

Well.....without putting it on a scales I can't really say, but it's very heavy. Certainly far more than the DG-87.
DG is what, about 19kg ? The Elite certainly feels close to 2x that so that website figure might be accurate enough.
Easy to see why though, every component of the chassis has a weight and solidness to it, unlike the plastic monstrosity that the EVGA case is.
Obviously if not a floor stander, the Elite will need a heavy duty pedestal or desk underneath it when all the components are in.

Looks fantastic though, so I can't wait to get it up and running. It'll completely dominate the room given its size.

One downside I'd mention is the flight case delivery. Think I would have liked to see some form of wax seal or something around the locks or at least around the opening, as anyone could just open it or some damage could ensue if the locks are not closed properly. First thing I done was to open it up and make sure the chassis hadn't been switched with a load of bricks :)

Thank for info. Do you think a 30mm 560 rad will fit in the front if i put 420 on the bottom chamber ? I still have 420 rad from dg87 build and i want to reuse it. Since you have dg87 case like me, i think you also have 420mm radiator to test it.

Reading the manual seems to suggest a 560 rad will go in the front once the midplate is removed.....not going that way myself.
At the moment I'll probably be sticking with the 420 rads in the top and bottom, though the top will have to be limited in thickness more than likely due to the height of the motherboard (RVE10) even though the specs say a thickness of 65mm is supported....have to make a final measurement, but it's something that cropped up before in a previous build.
420 rad on the bottom probably just purely to stick with all 140 fans in the system even though a nice thick 480 will fit, though I still have to check out the secondary PSU situation so that could be something to keep in mind when going with a long rad.
Side mounting is another option of course.

Only rad I have in the DG-87 at the moment is a Predator, which I had to front-mount against my better judgement due to the height clearance of the motherboard with the top of the case. It's part of a long list of problems I had with the case, even if it's not exactly a fault on EVGA's side - was really disappointed with it in almost every aspect.

Enthoo Elite is 33 kg (66 lb) empty. I think your DG-87 is 19.6 kg (42.3 lb) empty. Both are heavy cases. Enthoo Primo is 17 kg (34 lb) and most people consider it a heavy case. ;)

Heavy case is kinda hassle to me because i like to bring them outside for cleaning twice a month and my desktop is upstairs on the two floors house. I wish they use aluminum as core structure of the case to reduce the weight like Caselabs case. It is pity with such premium price, they didn't use aluminum for core structure.

This picture say it all about the premium feeling and the mighty size of the Elite the Car is an Audi A4 2011 jost for reference in size.

Why do you need to take it outside to clean it twice a month?
Maybe you need to re-think how your case is filtered or something.
Mine (5 systems) have not been outside for a cleaning in years. I vacuum the filters every couple of weeks and that's all. There is almost no dust inside of case.

I think the idea of moving the case around, especially up and down flights of stairs is out of the question.
Had the pleasure of moving it (in the case and empty) up a flight of stairs today, and it's not for the faint-hearted, and just can't believe that many people would attempt it, especially when fully populated, on a regular basis.
Proper dust/airflow management will have to suffice IMO, as once the case is in situ and up and running, it's staying where it is.

Not that I know of only 2.5 SSD is the only drivebays and fan hubs.

There's a 3.5HDD drop and lock add on sold separately (PH-HDDKT_01), that attaches where the power splitter bracket attaches towards the front right hand side of the chassis. Not sure how much vibration that might introduce with a vertically mounted mechanical drive, but might be practical for some.
Not listed as supporting the Elite on its webpage, but it's mentioned in the manual.

Congrats on pulling the trigger.

My big question on this case is the vertical GPU mount. I see that you can put TWO GPUS in the vertical position. I only have one but here is my concern, from the looks of the mount, it looks like putting that bracket on, you are quite literally sacrificing all your PCI-E lanes as you would not be able to put in any cards into the PCI-e lanes because they would bump into the Vertical GPU.

Now with one GPU placed in the furthest position from the MB, I'm wondering how much clearance is there to add a PCI-E card behind the GPU? I have two m.2 cards that I would like to be able to utilize.

Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not sure about the vertical mounting...it was certainly covered in the Hardware Canucks video from a month or two back.
It seems to me that a lot of cases that offer the same setup would suffer similar limitations. As you say, in the Elite's case, its the mounting of the bracket that takes the lower PCI slots out of the equation, and it may only leave you room to use a single slot above the Primary PCI-E.
To be honest, I'm not planning on using the vertical mounting off the bat, not due to needing the slots, just that I'm not convinced it adds to the overall look, especially with a secondary system installed, but that's just personal preference, as no doubt some will go for it.

I don't have the case yet but from the picture, there is a way for you to mount your PCI-E card. You can use the PCI slot where you put graphic card for secondary system and use PCI-E extension cable to connect to your motherboard.

Correct I'm giving them another chance. Cs assured me they would look over the next case very closely before shipping it out. Biggest part is that they offer no options for expediting shipping if you have issues due to the cost they would have to pay to ship a package that size. Should arrive Tuesday which is better then the 9 days it took to arrive the first time.

It's a lovely case which is very easy to work in, but there are a couple of minor niggles (one individual and one generic)

1. Loose top magnet on the tempered glass door. Adhesive used doesn't seem the best, but a minor complaint easily resolved

2. Cable management. Overall it's fine......loads of room in the back etc, but more specifically the sliding panel. Not a fan at all, but will learn to live with it. Currently stealing System2's USB3 cable while still working on the mini build, but with that, the ATX and drive cables, it can be awkward to get a finish to your exact exact liking. Not overly untidy, but just doesn't present itself as well as rubber grommets probably would have.

Other than that, everything seems fine and dandy.

wow no posts since march?? I just became what appears to be a very very small community of elite owners. I pulled the trigger 3 days ago and awaiting arrival from amazon on the 1st of Sept. I owned a corsair 760t black for 2 years. Then purchased the evga 1080ti ftw3's, two of them and decided to try my first time ever to put in a custom water loop. I first bought a primo case but after few days trying to put in the size and total number of rads I wanted in it decided it was not going to do. so gave the case to my son and got the elite.
I am excited to see it and working hard on what lay out I would like to put in it for the loop. I have 3 rads. a 480 for the top, a 360 monsta on the bottom and a 360 monsta for the front. going with dual loop. have the water blocks installed on the 2 1080ti ftw3's went with ekwb full blocks and the cpu block is mounted to the mobo/cpu. have spent quite a few $ on all the parts for the loop. will create a build log and post with some pics as soon as I get it. hoping to touch base with all you owners for the beautiful case. I am part of several pc groups on facebook and one group that has 86k members when I asked who also has a elite not 1 person replied. I assuming this club of elite owners is very small or I just havnt found a group other than here that has many owners of this case. I just joined this thread and looking forward to any input from the thread for help as it is my 1st time water cooling. went with petg 16/12mm. but bought some acrylic from ek to put in the elite. I own a older mobo and cpu/ asus rampage 4 black edition with a 4960x oc stable at 4.8. with 64gbs of corsair dominator platinium 2400.

There are several Elite owners in the elite group. Sadly I'm not one of them. But it is a huge case so if I did have one I would have to change my computer station significantly to have room for it .. at least that a good way of rationalizing not having one. :p
