View Full Version : Evolv ATX Glass Fan Hbb broken??

Just got a new case to put some parts in, the Evolv ATX Glass. I have an ASUS x79 deluxe MoBo and I have:

Cpu cooler plugged into CPU_fan,
and the Fan hub is Plugged into CPU_opt

To my knowledge and according to the manual cpu_opt is PWM.

Now, by default, the Chassis fans are plugged into Fan hub, in FAN1, FAN6 and FAN 4.

I noticed the fan plugged into FAN4 was moving very slowly, and somtimes needed to be started with my flicking the fan with my finger to get it going.

I moved this plug to FAN5 and it seems to be working fine.

Is the fan hub defective, or is something else going on here?

EDIT: not that FAN5 is starting to slow down. Not sure what the problem can be.. Maybe its lacking power somehow?

2nd EDIT: I plugged that fan directly into a separate fan header in the motherboard and it still doesnt work. Im thinking its just a bad fan now.

Sounds like you might be right.
